Beautiful cichlids, all of them! Wonderful colors, you must be doing something right for them to look so vibrant!
You're actually more right than you know...deep color environment helps bring out great color. I keep it colorful and bold. Overhanging plants, bright color sand, yup. I use the Finnex 24/7 lighting and they all love it.
Generally keep temps in the 78-80 range, sometimes going up to 82.

So on to the action, as promised. Bobo randomly decided to get some 'payback' and drifted over to the west side turf. Boss was there waiting. So the two of 'em jack jaw at each other:
Bobo's big, but he can't fight worth ****. He's not stupid, either...after getting his lips chewed up by the parrot multiple times he avoids lip locking. So, WTF. He bails.
