More tank pics, updated

Amazing.

Bobo's true personality is coming out now. He chases fingers aggressively, colors up into bright patterns/patches again, and looks for me when I come down the stairs. He's even knocked his heater sideways! He's played in the bubbles and glass surfed. NONE of this he did before.

So this tells me just how suppressed and intimidated he was in the 225...even though he would shoal, swim and eat well he was usually darker and 'stuck in mud' or skittering away from the Oscar.

Now he chases the finger excitedly. Earlier his eyes got bright red and his head turned gold. If I can get a pic I will.

He still swims like a dump truck with the parking brake off though. ?
 
News!

The Calico HRPs are here! After a few nervous moments due to delivery delays in the swamp heat they arrived! Not only were they alive but fiesty and trying to bust out of the bags!

There was no 'acclimation' with these two hrps...I put them in an aerated cup with airstones. Two hours later they were chasing each other. I put them in the qt tank. One minute later they were squabbling over the hide logs! The pink dotted one is larger and more dominant, but the marble one is fiesty. Then they ate...you would think I had them for months!

And a shoutout to C.Breeze for sending me these pretty and fiery little fish! Names to be revealed when pics are posted.

And yes, pics of Pepper and Salt together! I didn't forget.

Good grief, its the @ police!! ?

Yeah I know...my laptop was doing an update and that cut out on me while I was typing. Salt and Pepper really do look good together. The problem is getting them to slow down long enough to get a shot that isn't blurry! It also occured to me Salt might be a big girl, based on the way Pepper would body shake...when I post the pics y'all can tell me if you think Salt's female.

Ok...

So I had some pics of the Calico HRPs to post up but the damn power here has been popping off and on for two days. Like every 20 minutes. Power company finally got all the weird outages under control. :shocked::shocked::shocked::shocked::shocked:

Tomorrow will be some pics. Not Salt and Pepper just yet, until I get my new phone which is arriving tomorrow, yay!!! They're just too fast for my current phone on its last legs.

Due to a money situation I've decided to concentrate on consolidating the parrots into one tank right now. The challenge will be dividers that will hold strong fish, not scratch acrylic, and still have circulation. For now, Bobo remains in his temporary digs. He'll go in the large tank in my office once I get it.

I plan to get another oscar (yes I'm a sucker) that would go into the office tank with Bobo, Jazz, and one of the synos. That's down the road.

Hmm. Tiger or Albino? Or even Lemon? Decisions, decisions...:nilly:
