Thanks. I do write fanfiction, tho...its fun and keeps the brain sharp.

But these characters need no fiction! Sometimes I don't believe them myself...right now my two female parrots keep banging the glass lids, and I wish they would quit. I think they're chasing bubbles, racing to the top and BAM! Patch has already knocked her strip light loose. How she doesn't hurt herself or knock herself out is beyond me. Kong isn't much better, but she hasn't moved the glass yet.
Whatever you're writing, I'm buying.

I 'll see if can do a burst photo of Patch and her "bubble" game. Kong is starting to play with her airstone too. But I swear its the most damn annoying thing. You can't get used to the noise, it sounds like someone is punching the glass lids. Kong has now pushed/rolled her house up against the front wall so she can hide behind it (why, I don't know. She goes inside it all the time).

My chocolate Bobo continues his bizarre behavior of going into the area 'owned' by Boss and Brick, only to get chased and harassed. He hovers over the other fish annoying them then the parrot busts his lip...its the same thing over and over. He's a real a nuisance about this. Brick chased him so hard one time Bobo banged his head against the glass. Must have knocked something loose.

I was nearly down one parrot today. Went downstairs this afternoon and noticed Kong's tank was somewhat cloudy. I didn't see her at first. She was tail standing and barely breathing behind her house. Her slime coat hung off her body and eyes. Very pale. I immediately removed her and stripped down her tank. In the past her tank was prone to crashes but I thought I'd solved that issue. There were no problems for months. So I'm trying to figure out what happened. She just had a filter clean/water change two days ago. Didn't make sense.

Well in breaking down the filter I found a thick clog of 'stuff' that was sucked up into the intake. Got that out, cleaned out everything including the sand and refilled.

Here Kong is in the bucket. She recovered immediately and looked completely normal. This is a half hour later after I rescued her. The resiliency of these cichlids is amazing. Another 15 minutes and I would be posting something else. But here she is, in all her orangeness.
