this would be a pretty evil way to completely ruin your nearby natural fish habitat:irked:, but of course I would never do it because I love my fish and if I couldn't give them away or sell them I would have them put to sleep

Lol you love them so much you would have to kill them before giving them up. Am I the only one catching the contradiction. If you can't have them than no one will. Detatchment disorder red flag. If you really love them you'd find them a home if you could not provide one not participate in summary executions.

I think you're missing the point.

It's easier now than ever before to find homes for your unwanted/unmanageable fish, but still it can sometimes be impossible. There are only so many people who can take in giant or specialized fish. If you cannot find an adopter, euthanasia is the only responsible option left.

yeah, i do realize releasing fish into the wild is bad, but i felt like i cared too much about my fish to just leave them for 2 monthes at home with no electricity going. i had a tank that included a red devil, 2x flowerhorn, 2x convicts, 1x black belt, 2x convicts, and a green terror. I put them all in a bucket and dumped them into the canal, hate me if you want i was not gonna let them die in my tank.
ah man some of you are gonna hate me for this but a fish is a fish is a fish very wrong to put non native fish into native waters i see many people going so far as to actually seem to worship their fish

i love an care greatly for my fish in my tanks as is shown by the amount of time money and effort i put in , but i am not going to go so far as to worship them and put them above the natural order of things this is not free willy

if you want to take out a fish the fast way get food strength sanitizer known as quat from a restaurant dishwasher supply company or restaurant supply company and mix i 1 quat 9part water and put it in a bag and then put your fish in that you need to do in an in short order dead fish

Aquarium fish cannot survive in the wild in the first place.

If you release them, most proberbly they will die.

Ones that survive create problems.
do you have the scientific evidence to prove this i assure you that fish have a killer will to survive and unlike tame lions most fish do have the instinct and capability to eat other fish ive watched it time an time again

take one of your tanks and dont feed them for say a week or two and i can assure you that hunger will get the best of them and one or two or more of the slower fish will disappear as they get eaten

so i can assure you that aquarium fish can and will survive if dumped

I must admit I once threw a goldfish in the canal behind my house. But this was before I started getting into the hobby. :(

well composte pile, chop it up and put it in the trash

better yet take it to a taxidermist if its a nice enough fish an mount it

really at this point the fish is dead organic matter and im sure would decompose in the normal trash
