How do you ladies & fellas feel about stocking neighborhood lakes and parks? There is a picnic park near my old home that people would fill with turtles and fish.. they encourage catch and release there. I got two South American Redfoots there at different times. Male and female at different times and they were about 4", now about 6-8". On our last trip we cought a koi and a 5ish" eastern painted(my buddy by hand). Ive seen one fella drop 2x 5gal buckets full of fish from his tanks cos he was moving to an apartment.

It amazes me at how stupid people can be sometimes!!! Many people get fish not knowing anything about them, especially how big they're going to get. When they get too big they figure they're better off in a big lake somewhere..... Do reseacrh first and be rational in makeing your decisions on what kind of fish you can support.... We all suffer when irrational people make poor decisions in regards to the fish they buy. Fish are not puppies....LOL! just sayin'

I would agree, but when other people screw around it can be pretty fun, e.g. Pbass in florida

We have a shopping mall in town with a huge koi pond in them filled with lots of kois. My friends used to dump their small kois in there if they don't want it anymore.

Security and officials wouldn't care and they wouldn't even notice any difference I think.

Better than releasing it in the wild I guess?
