You got too much time on your hands... ;)

it took nearly 1 week..he has done nice interesting work..and the pond looks cool...he never gave up....the fishes are really nice...now everyone who sees this post wants to build one:nilly:...

WTF? It's always better to work electricity while standing in the pond than say in a small puddle or with wet hands, give it a try ;).

Took a punt on this sanke(that's a gamble for tequila) today, got it from Nigel. Staying there over the winter, water temps down to about 2 at the moment.

It may turn into a beauty, you can already see the sumi coming out, how it will end up I don't know.

Nigel kept going on and on about how the fish have great skin and look so much better in sunlight, me and missus were seriously unimpressed by the whole batch, so he bowled them an took them outside. He was right, simply stunning.
Anyway, what do you think?

Hello Yan,

Notice there's not been any activity on this thread for a while. How's the pond, any updates? Hope things are well.

Andy.

gorgeous..best of luck with him

Mrs Y jokingly said I couldn't get the outline down to 3 foot eleven in the next 2 days(i've got off), she is winning because of 2 things, a: I'm fooked and b: because the barrow is on it's last legs already.

If I do manage it, not nessaceraly on this block off but the next I'm going to have to study up hard on the diy filters and installing bottom drains, I was expecting at least another month of research to get it right

No idea about the post above??

Sorry I am still here, just very limited internet for the past couple of weeks and I'll still be off line for the next couple of weeks as well.

Andy, the pond is fine, I'll update once everything is sorted with the internet.

I'm almost back up and running now.

Andy, as promised an update.

All is well, had terrible blanket weed at the start of the year despite a clear pond. Then the UV bulbs packed up at the wrong time, with the house extension going on I couldn't really get some and in two weeks the pond went from clear to pea soup. Got everything back up and running now with the new bulbs in and taken the uv off the return and in front of the nexus instead so it's working fine. Lost a fish in all the green water which I was not pleased about, great fish only had it a couple of months and eat like a pig, took it out scraped it under the microscope and found nothing at all, at least if I had found something I could work out a cause, all the rest are fine.

The new UV layout:

And the gang on the feed, the big sturgeon is currently at 65cm and show no signs of slowing down:
