Thanks:)

Post some pictures, I'd love to see the dig so far, if you do link me the thread:)

Here is a pic of the hole I dug about a year ago for my pond:

As you can see it's a slow work in progress.

Thanks for the pic. It maybe slow progress but I'm sure you'll get there in the end.

As for here it's raining:irked: This is a pain for 2 reasons, one I can't get anything done until it stops and two its a real pain leak spotting when everything is wet

The rain will stop eventually, hope the fix works, the extra challenge will make it even more rewarding. Isn't that what they always say?:screwy:

looking good I agree with everyone else I will pass on the new sport as long as possible

I had a similiar extreme sport over the weekend. For now I have a mud hole about 2',x2',x4' deep that my SC drains into and then is pumped out. When I drained the SC and pumped out the water I had a couple little goldies that went through and were left swimming around in the bottom of the hole. I didn't want to just leave them to die so I was hanging upside down through an opening in the deck swatting around with a net, and of course slid headfirst into the mudhole. Those are some lucky goldfish.

BTW what grade and subjects do you teach?

All you need is what? 2 more weeks of fair weather? I hope you can get that much in this season...

If they only knew...
falling headlong into anything wet is always preceded by that sinking feeling in your gut, then the mental picture of whats about to happen, then bloop!

Do it all the time on the boat, down in the bilge...:D

Very lucky fish indeed, sorry about your fall

If the fix has worked probably a day to sort out the return and a couple of days to flag it, trouble with that is I can't get a mixer in my car so I'll have to wait for the folks to get back before I can get one.

The rain has stopped but everything is still too wet to go hunting for leaks:irked:

Well, the extreme solvent weld repair almost worked, it does still leak but it's so little I may just leave it rather than try another upside down repair

Maybe small enough for "rubber wrap"?
it really does work like a charm...;)

I'm sure it does, trouble is I don't know how I'd apply it to over the epoxy and even if it's worth it at all.

Here's a picture for reference, an old one when all the leaks were fist sealed on the outside only:
burn.jpg
The bit I've burned away in the image is roughly the size of where I can feel water, if you looked at it directly from the intake to vortex one it would be about 4-5 o'clock in the pipe. I sat there for 10 minutes waiting for a drip that never came, over time it might even seal it's self or might end up trying one more upside down seal just to make sure. That was the only bit I couldn't get at properly, I really would have to do some acrobatics to get it

from the looks of the size you'll probably loose way more than that much water to evaporation. I thought you were having leaks that were dripping...Algae will probably fill those tiny gaps in no time...
