I just read through this quickly...took me a fair bit of time. Anyways, very nice looking pond so far, look forward to seeing the finished project.
 
Yanbbrox you have supplied us with hours of reading and great insight into our own future projects. its a dream for alot of us and a timeline for some of us. you have done a awesome job of sharing with us all what can be done. its cool to here that the support from the people here who have been here from the start sharing their insights and support in the entire project made a diffence to you. we all look forward to Phase #2 and the completed backyard paradise. Tried to get hold of some ghost carp to put in the pond today, not really the season for cold water fish over here, the plan always was to get around 10-15 at any size just to kick start the filters and I like them and they do get big over time but couldn't find any(easily reach 15lb in weight). We did find some koi and almost bought 2 small ones but neither of us fancied them much. They did have 2 shusui which were very nice and much bigger but I thought they were a touch over priced, maybe not but funds are limited at the moment:naughty: plus I don't really want to add any expensive fish to start with, so the pond is still home to just newts, frogs and no fish
