Finally!!!!!!!!!!! I have a UV light. It's rated at 1500 gal. I know it really under what I need, but in a couple of month I'm know that I won't need it. I got it for a little boost. The one rated for 5000 gal. are super expensive.
Neat-o! For green water, my plants can do their job efficiently clearing up the green water but in the end, the dead leaves form mulm on the bottom and can accummulate a lot in the following days.
When everything is up and running I'll be paying someone to come and clean the pond a couple times per week. What the 3 bottom drains don't pick up I'll vacuum this baby about once a week.
Your children are beautiful, and they look very happy in their new playground (wished I had a dad who built me that). I've enjoyed seeing all your updates, this was my first subscribed thread. Amazing job it looks .... amazing.
Bog looks like it is ripping...
The Papyrus looks like it is growing by the day.
I have a cold hardy, simaliar type plant. It's called Umbrella Plant and is sold as hardy Papyrus in my area. I have it on a shallow shelf (I call it my wetland area) and it just grows and grows. I actually had to cut it down a few weeks ago since it was growing so fast it was flopping over and looked pretty messy. It is back to about 30" tall.
We filled all of the cracks we could find with grout. We lowered the skimmer/filter and poured a nice little nealing place for me to work on stuff bordered with rocks.
The railing turned out pretty nice. This is with a steel beam, concrete and bondex. Not too bad Huh?
