I'll just let things run their course. The exact same thing happened with my other pond and now I don't even turn the uv light on. The water is crystal clear. I remember that I had fish in the other pond almost as soon as I put water in it. I assume that this time things should work a little faster because of the lighter waste load. We'll see.
I agree to let nature takes its course, and beside who cares about the green water as long as your kids enjoy it :nilly:

The microb-lift will turn the water a milky color for about 24 hrs. It's all good. The barley works more for string algae, but still adds various strains of BB for your filter.

Did the package say to use warm water when mixing? I have found it activates the barley enzymes quicker.

Looks like you could throw some Hyacinths from the other pond...
Put them in an area w/high flow. They too should have some beneficial microbes on their roots that will add to the pond. Also, having those fiberous roots will help stablize water with their nutrient absorbtion.

Thank's for the tips Muske.
I just tried out the air manifold dealy for cleaning the filter. When I first fired it up the air didn't make it back up to the top through the rocks. Then I lowered the water level in the barrel and wala. Prety cool stuff. All that came out though was green water. What a surprise.

I also used a bulkhead that my dad brought from the states. What a difference. It was almost too easy. The outlet at the top is the professional one. The lower irrigation outlet is the one I did. The only real difference is about two full tubes of silicon and about a month of leaks. Oh well.

Ya Baby!!!!!! I can see the bottom, well, almost. Believe it or not its looking much better. I added a couple more plants from the other pond and it seems to be helping.

Here are some pictures of the back of the project. This is where one of my skimmers goes to. It circulated around this fountain and comes back into my pond.
