Our 270g Google Tank Build

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
thank you for this idea, off to walmart i'm going lolz
One thing I forgot to mention was that we saw a remote control outlets from Walmart. We bought one for the main pump and one for the water change pump. Now we don't have to crawl down to turn on/off the switches.

Been a hectic week. Had a cracked wheel on my car, then my battery died, shipping company broke my trailer stand, weather is bad, and daughter getting sick. Anyways got some little stuff done.

Decided to go with magnets to hold up the skin. Wanted it removable for a couple reasons. One is to be able to change the design on the outside of the skin. Two is I didn't want to have screw holes on the outside. I didn't get a chance yet to install it on the stand frame but I hope it holds.

I just used a chisel

Magnets... how do they work?!?!

j/k, nice setup. I plan to use magnets on my doors, let us know how they hold up.

Just remember that each device you plug into the battery will create more load which in turn is less battery time. The good thing about this model backup is that is has it's own Kill-A-Watt system and can tell you how much wattage it is pulling and the battery run time. After this is all done, I'm going to figure out how to make it email me if it goes into battery mode. My whole network is on battery backups so it should have enough time to email me if the power goes out to the house.

yes how do you get the thing to email you!? how does that work!?

i installed mine with a hiblow 20 airpump. that should be enough for a few hours to run my top tank with fish and bottom sump tank.

Excellent work!!! Wish I could wing it like this!!!

So you plan on keeping just the one Aro in there?

I don't know yet because I don't have enough time. I know the home software version cannot do this. I believe the business version can but it has to hook up to a computer. Luckily a computer is nearby but I will have to extend the cable.
