Interesting. How big is he? Seem like same size as mine. Got 1ft?

BTW just asking around. is USD550 for a 9" Black wolf worth buying?

why not.
price is simple....you like it,its worth paying for.
you just want to have it,not liking the fish,not worth the cash.
just keep it simple and go with your gut feel.

BTW,i checked out c328,im pretty sure theyre selling two different types of fish if the posters right.
im sure "hoplias macrophthalmas" refers to the fish in the first picture,which IMO is very likely a lacerdae or will be brought in as one.
and the "brazilian hoplias sp. black" refers to the second picture which is no doubt a black wolf.

Yes it is 2 type of fish. My only worry is that do they sell 2 type or give wrong name. If it a hoplias macrophthalmas then it is worth it. As for black wolf... price wise seem on the high side. See only picture then feeling not so interested. Need to see the real stuff then able to consider it.

He's 10". He's been a pretty slow grower but he's slowly working his way up

i remember getting a black wolf from CF at 8" for around 600...
would call it higher,but it may depend on the variant.
i wouldnt mind trying honestly...

my stand still is that macrophthalmas is the same as lacerdae.
and im sure c328 wont sell gold,red or common wolves when you order them...
chances are,IMO,that you will get what you paid for.
variants and collection point,not so sure.
