Why not put like a 100G on display instead? BTW, nice tank/fish.

I needed my big tanks for monsters :p My 100g is a pretty ugly tank but holds my CA/SA cichlids, which are beautiful/

And yes, i have since trimmed alot opf the overgrown plants.

Here is my 38g low tech (ish) planted tank.

The picture is about na month old and i have since trimmed some of the overgrown plants and cleared up some space at the top of the tank. The stocking is as follows

-9 rummynoses
-2 koi swordtails
-1 baby uaru
-3 clown loaches
-2 ottocinclus
-1 syno. Petricola
-5 Amano shrimp
-1 bamboo shrimp
-1 giant african filter shrimp

And lots of plants, including many types of crypts, java fern, swordplants, dwarf hairgrass, saggitaria, cabomba, "high sunrise" stuff (clumped/overgrown on left side), and a few others i cant think of.

This has been an immensely successful tank, and it is right in my family room. It is one of my only display tanks. I hope you like it! :)
Looks too sparse to me.

OK...Here is my 125gal...pressurized co2 - assorted plants. Please ignore the air bubbles goin its all on timers and I got home late last night and just turned the lights on while it was in night time mode so I could snap a couple pics. Tank is only a month or so old so the hair grass and HC are just starting to fill in. Should be much fuller after a few more months...let me know what you think!

nice looking tank smokin!!
heres my humble 55gal slightly heavy planted tank
2 diy co2 reactor,
2 ac100 filter modified to have no surface agitation,
2 4ft flourescent tubes, aquaglo and marine-glo (not sure if its enough),
weekly dose of plantgro coz i didnt use the substrate that have fertilizers for plants,

as for the plants, i try to pick the ones that are relatively easy
background plants i think is a Vallisneria sp
midground plants is a combination of cabombas and wysteria(sp?)
foreground plants... i have no positive id on some grasslooking plant
but i know i have 2 java ferns on both ends and some windelovs scattered too.
i had water lettuce too but they reproduce like nothing else and im afraid my other plants are not getting enough light so i took them out. (sighh.. i like how their roots looks like)

as for fishstock its very light for now with
8 small congo tetras(they wud be my main fish)
1 marbled angel (planning to add 2 more),
1 feifeng, 1, flying fox, 1 red tailed shark,
1 albino poly and a recently paired kribs.

comments are very readily accepted. as im still on the process on trying to learn planted tank.
thanks alot to wyldfya's stickys. its where i learned mostly.

Funky setup with the bridge idea going on. I'm liking it.

I do believe that the marine glo bulbs are actinic, and if so, they are doing basically nothing for your plants. Even if they are not fully actinic, the plants aren't going to be able to use much of the blue light output they have. You'd be better off switching to life glo or powerglo.

Great looking tank HighTimeZ! The plants look really healthy and full for just having regular gravel and not plant specific substrate. Are those all Krib fry in the second to last pic?

Evercl92 if you meant the bridge comment for me thanks! :) I rescaped that tank so many times until I finally felt like it looked natural. The fish and shrimps love hiding under there.

Ditch those bulbs and switch to the Life Glo2 bulbs, the aqua glo and power glo are both 18,000K, which isn't that great for plants.
