Wash. D.C,
i just got a 4 inch rhom, threw him in w/ five little 2 inch danios. 2 days into the experiment he's getting his ass kicked. A couple of the Danios have little bites in their tails but the pirahna is missing most of his! Needless to say I am very dissapointed in him. Did I get a dud? Does anyone know how I can toughen him up? Maybe change his name to something meaner?

if the danios in the tank first then you'll have to give your rhom sometime to get use to the tank first. similar things happened to my 4" rhom before day one it got picked on, even a little on day two but later all the fish that picked on him ended up in its belly. you just have to give it more time. also post pics of your setup, water parameters. just want to make sure everything is right and good for your rhom. if you want it to settle down faster. turn the light offer for a day or so that helps a bit because piranhas are not used to bright light

Wash. D.C,
Ahh, patience is a virtue. Or if ur a Danio, patience it will hurt you. Day 3 and the Rhom is definately turning into the full blown predatory killing machine that I paid 50 bucks for online. As far as H2O params, I'm using the famous D.C. tap water. pH 7.3, NH3 0, NO2 0, NO3 20 and temp at a warm bath water like 82 F. I've got the crew housed in a glass 75 w/ 2 XP3's. No powerhead or bubble makers yet cuz the filters seem to pump out a pretty good current. Thanks jp. Comments?

I say best idea would be the shrimp and snails. like ghost shrimp and some common snails would probly work.
