Yes, H. Brevis maybe. I can't make sure.
I don't have any further information about these 7 species ATF.
Any body have the big H. vittatus pic?
I ever keep one H. vittatus. But the speed of grow up is very slow, so I don't like this fish much.

Nice ATF, woodyson! Who knows, it could be any one of the stiped variety. I currently have several of which I believe to be Vittatus. I have raised them for 2yrs from 2.5" in a 900g and now they are 14". They all seem to grow painfully slow. There is very little credible info on these challenging fish.

I don't know...
I just know there are 7 species of African Tiger Fish.
1. H. forskahlii
2. H. vittatus
3. H. goliath
4. H. brevis
5. H. somonorum
6. H. tanzaniae
7. H. vittiger
Vittatus and Forskahlii (or Forskali) are the same fish. Never heard of Somonorum or Vittiger.

Phully, I know you have to miss that bad ass ATF you had.

forskahlii is slimmer and has a diff jaw shape from vittatus, plus it doesnt have the red finnages.
