I personally don't agree with you there. There are many many more desirable plecos to me than a blue eyes. H. luteus is one of them.[/QUOTE

Luteus are easy to get hold of, just really expensive!

Luteus are cheaper than blue eyes. Personally for looks I don't like the blue eye, but the luteus looks awesome, especially the gold variety.

they get golden with age... they all start out looking similar to a GN. some just show up better than others. although i think that it counts where they are from too. they are a beautiful plec, but ive seen some just as good (if not better) looking scobinancistrus aureatus...

Ha, not where I come from.

I completely agree with davo and wyldfya on this one, I LOVE panaques but blue eyes are a little overrated. I would love to keep that new black and white Leporacanthicus sp.

I'm with you! The new L. sp. looks awesome, and I can't wait to get my hands on a few.

Stiff- don't get me wrong I would give almost anything to get my hands on a blue eyes. They are just about number 3 or 4 on my list :grinno:

It might just be like the L046, they are really interesting, and expensive... but when you have them their real beauty comes out. IDK, I didn't really think the zebra was that spectacular before I had one, but now, it is my favorite plec, and fav fish.
