Wednesday13’s Fish Room

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Damn....I thought I had the world's largest rohani barb! I have one loner that mixes it up in my stock tank, solid 6-7", but yours is a true monster rohani lol. Seems they don't need a group like so many people insist, thrive when they're odd man out.

Guy is a trooper… atleast 11-12 yrs old now. The lone survivor of an original 11. Sadly i had a few that made it to 5-6” and my rays ate them… thing is an ass tho lol. He chewed up my 40” lung a year ago maybe. He goes rounds with the knives and tinfoils. Never learns.

That's a wily old veteran for sure, lives on the edge, pushes the boundaries trying to hold onto his youth. Judging by his looks mightve been swallowed by a knifefish a time or two before fighting his way out. Legendary.

We're still talking about the barb, right?

I put those bags up just for u John lol… i did actually change the lighting tho 😂… had to try it on the bags, ive read u mention it many times on here. They static clung better than i expected.
Dang! I hate it when one of my ideas works out better for someone else than it did for me! :)

You appear to have crinkled the crap out of those bags before slapping them on, and it gives a nice rockwork-like look to it. I always just smoothed a nice clean flat bag onto the glass, right out of the box. Looked like paint. Now I gotta try to replicate the effect you have there.

It's tough going through life with no imagination...:(

The secret here is textured contractor bags i took from work 💀 lol

Haha i did notice a narwhal-bandaid-wrapped thumb in one of those pics. Somebody must like petting his lungfish...could've been that scumdog rohani though 😁

😂 i didn’t even notice that… this is what happens with a 2 yr old in house. My street cred is ruined lol

Oh, sure...now you tell me...

I have exactly one all-glass tank that isn't set up as a "see-through" and on which I could try to replicate this look. So I spent a couple hours last night doing just that. I now have a pile of 6 or 7 Glad bags that have been twisted, scrunched, balled-up, stretched-out, beaten, bashed and otherwise abused...all the while putting them on, taking them off, putting them on again...all for naught!

...textured contractor bags...:) 🤨 :wall::irked:

What the...did you seriously just say that in a response to me???:grinno::OMG:

"...
pushin 40 now..."....pfffft! :nilly:

Of course, I do understand, and sympathize. I mean, squeezing under my plywood 360 to remove the pump for servicing was way easier back when I was 60; it's a real PITA now... :lol3:
pushing 60 now, just had a leaky bulkhead in my 1100 and that kicked my ass!

Exciting day of substrate removal yesterday😑… cple bonus pics of my catfish out cruising, hes getting much more personable all of a sudden, even hand feeding pellets outta left field. Still siphoning out bits of sand as i can. I can only take out around 75g with the system running then i wait for it to fill back up automatically. Surprised how dirty 1/2” of sparse sand was.
