Just posting this for future reference....Note that proper ph only slows down the dissolution of zinc and does not stop it, still causing poisoning. Again, I am very sorry for your loss.

I only lost 5 fish out of about 30 that were in there, but there were the ones I liked the most. My Giraffe cat didnt make it as well. All of them with the exception of the rtc are in the freezer.

I lost my
19" clown knife
18" rtc
20" giraffe cat
24" tsn
25" marbled pim


I still have my
30" niger cat
2 24" rtc x tsn hybrids
3 15-18" channel cats

All the pacu, oscars, peacock bass, and plecos are fine. None of those even seem affected by it.

On a positive note, everybody including the hybrids ate this morning when I tried feeding.

rough lesson to learn but i'm glad you shared it so others don't have to repeat it. it takes a big man to admit his mistakes out here in the open, most would've just disappeared.
