I use Trical Netting, an extruded plastic netting, which is supposedly UV-stabilized and chemical resistant. I think I'm going back to using fencing material to cover tanks for big PB. The chainlink electrified fencing might work on the cats.

The PB that jumped out through the netting was found dead earlier this evening when I opened it's holding tank and tried to start medication as part of its quarantine.

Only thing I don't like about metal netting is when the fish jump and hit it, they scuff themselves and may get an infection.

There's never an easy answer, is there?!

well,
carp thing isnt going to make it.
one bass didnt make it
and only like 5 of those babies didnt make it.
not bad compared to the other times.
but they werent ditch fish lol

so does anyone know if those are baby bluegills??

I wonder what the little striped fish in the last picture is, I caught one just likeit here in South Texas

no one knows what the little guy was? bluegill???

The first pic on page 7 looks like Erimyzon sp., some species of chubsucker. The last pic does not look like a juvi. bluegill to me.

The last picture is deffinatly not baby bluegill. I would agree on some type of chub / chubsucker on the first pic.

my dad thinks they might be sheepshead but there saltwater.
got them about 20 miles from the ocean in freshwater.
hmmm

I live an hour from the ocean and I catch sheepshead all the time. Do they have teeth?
