thanks, no he doesn't. all I have in there is tons of Val, so it may be that its a hardy enough plant to withstand his 'kissing' as he rasps for algae. most plant species are fine with them, but some bunch plants with soft stems and leaves like Cabomba would probably be toast.

his name is "Kissee" by the way LOL.

always begging for food by kissing and shaking his head back and fourth LOL

Flagtails are such great fish. if he outgrows the 65 (highly possible) he will have to go in the 150g. for now, since he is doing so well, he is staying put.

okay, some not so great pics of the small inhabitants during a water change.

I added a leporinus to the mix a week ago.

everyone survived the ich outbreak (thank god for ebo jagers- I was able to easily get the tank up to 86 to get the ich off the fish quickly where the meds can kill it. the loaches were plastered).

all except one clown are doing well. the other two of the three eat like pigs and one is a bit sluggish with the food. time will tell.

soon I will post some pics of the other tanks. flagtail is growing well and is colouring up nicely. filamentosa barbs in the 50g are also growing well and are very colourful.

we are also in the process of setting up a 30g livebearer tank for my girlfriend in the dining room:)

thought I was done with tanks. this is probably the last one hahahaha
12V what's happened to the lemon fins?

I had to sell.

they became super skittish and were jumping up and injuring themselves on the glass top whenever I would drop the water level for a water change.

they were getting pretty big when I took them in to the LFS though. 3 of the 4 were 12" long.

they really weren't much to look at though, they were nice fish but they huddled in the left corner of the tank LOL

all these new fish swim all over the and the tank is much nicer.

this mix should work. all are doing well and growing fast.

I am looking for some redhooks now to add to the mix.

its a shame I was not able to get lemon fins that worked as well as the ones I used to have, but what can you do? I tried twice and neither batch worked out.

but these red tinfoils are very nice. pics should be coming soon! :)

I also picked up a synodontis notatus in the 50g. so I am building back up my former syno collection :)

as well some red head geophagus in the 50g but I cant get any good pics yet cause all they do is beg for food and never stop moving LOL.

some assorted shots:

the 65g/50g stacked setup.

some shots of the 150g. all fish are growing well. lots of motion in there now. looks great.
