Damn, i should have gotten pics of the power planer, nothing could rub a nice hard piece of wood to smooth satisfying finish faster.

Depends on who you ask whether bigger is best or small is just as good if you know how to use to. A nicely ribbed shaft is useless if you don't have the technique to get enough movement to hit the right spot good and hard with your little chopper.
