Looking good mate.........set yourself a target to getting fish in it?
i want the whole thing done before 5th December, when the baby is due, it has to be done, so i can teach the little one to swim in it

now it's cured enough to get in i can re-measure the internals to order the front panel, which i need to do asap. i'm gonna section the filter out this weekend, test fill that monday i reckon after the sealant has cured.

after it's glazed i want to install the stainless steel brace for the top, going to plan i can get that being made while the front panel is under order. i'm gonna see if the fabricator can weld two 'wings on either side of the centre brace to hang the lights off. been thinking about suspending several oak branches from the centre brace, fixed with stainless screws, hanging down like roots, what do you reckon? it's easy in my mind's eye but as ever its a different thing in real life!

thanks guys. heard from the acrylic people again today, it takes 7-10 days to manufacture and they will deliver which saves me a lot of messing about. think i will order this friday or possibly tuesday next week after the bank holiday. cant wait to get it ordered and on its way. Next job on the tank is to fit a solid oak frame around the viewing window, glue and screw, to give the front panel a bit more surface area contact and a larger area for the silicone to go, oak is approx. just over an inch thick which should help quite a bit.
