it doesn't go wall to wall because i'm going to build the filter separately, out of 4x2 timber like the tank, then slide it in beside the tank to fit wall to wall when it's finished, so actually won't end up being nine foot long internally, the tank is just over six foot internally.

thought if i make the filter separate i can put the divides etc in it more easily then epoxy the internals, fix it to the tank and then epoxy the over flow from the tank into the filter, essentially making it as one.

It is bloody high! :WHOA: turned out higher than i had planned really, probably give me hassle i reckon, especially when it comes to glazing the front. fingers crossed no problems!

strange shape? or do you mean different then normal dimensions? I wish I could build mine this size. OP what color are you planning on making the tank. if Black I would suggest Zavlar as apposed to apoxy. its cheaper and pretty easy to use. the product is Called Zavlar and Made by Liquid rubber in Canada or called Pondcoat made by Permidri in the US I imagine it is under one of those 2 names internationally. look it up and talk to a rep they could tell you what to look it up as locally. hope it helps

Yeah i meant that 9x4x5 is pretty good but to me 6x4x5 is a bit strange to ME but its your tank and im sure it will be awesome when its finished.
Keep the updates coming.
