Originally, I set it up doing only 1 bubble per 5 second and slowly increased it. That was just me though. I slowly increased it until I saw some pearling on the HC, but I was afraid of suffocating my fish. That's when I got the drop checker. I eventually got it going to 1bps.

Forgot this thread existed until just now, thought I'd quickly weigh-in on the photo-period discussion. If the only reason you want your lights to stay on for longer than 6 hours is because you want to look at your tank after work, just start the 6 hour photoperiod later in the day, that's how I have it setup. My lights flip on at 4 and off at 10. The room the tanks are in is extremely dark so the fish don't know the difference :p

Oh one other thing, this regulator/solenoid setup is probably the best deal you'll find anywhere for a complete co2 setup: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/NEW-Premium-...ultDomain_0&hash=item35bed45619#ht_2628wt_976

Comes with everything you need to get started except the diffuser. If you're really creative you don't need a diffuser though, lots of people just slip the co2 line into the intake of their filter and voila your filter itself chews up the co2 bubbles for you.

Well, the long photoperiod will also be in part due to me not really wanting to turn the Co2 on and off all the time, as i would rather have to trim back plants then always have to remember turning things on and off :)

Also thanks for keepin an eye out on the regulator setup... But i've already spoken to one of the LFS' that i go to and hes sorting out a basic Co2 kit to start me off with since i live in HK ;)

To start i want to add some CRS and see if i can get a small colony going, then will add some ottos, followed by one type of killi fish i really want to add but forgot the english name of, along with some celestial pearl danios and possibly scarlet badis...

What do you guys think of that stock list idea?
