Just picked up and installed my new Co2 unit... Only the basics though with bubble counter and diffuser...

So going to start off with 1 bubble a second and then go from there which hopefully will be about right...

Will also try and snap pics of the HC once a day to try and determine how much better it does with Co2

You have really inspired me with this. So much so, I decided another tank wasn't too much trouble! I don't want to give too mich away, but it is already underway :p.

The little pike look like miniature aro's, don't you think? I really like them! How do they and the killies get along? With both being surface dwellers (they are both surface dwellers, right?).

Really enjoying the pictures :)

^ Thanks for the comments, and i'm glad to see this project of mine has inspired you to do a planted tank as well... so be sure to hit me up with a link when you post a thread...

As for the Needle Nose Pikes, they actually do okay with the Clown Killi's... mainly coz the Pikes literally will only stay at the surface of the tank, where as the Clown Killi's tend to be surface to middle level swimmers, so can't say i've seen any problems thus far between the two?

But i definitely agree, they do look like really cool little monsters... especially fun watching them attack flake food...

Yeah, some people hack together a co2 kit with low quality parts and no needle valve. No needle valve = your entire co2 blow into the tank when it's about 30% full and gassing all your fish.

Originally, I got the Nutrafin CO2 System. I rarely saw the CO2 bubbles unlike the YT videos I've seen of this product. I'm sure I was doing it right since it's not rocket science, lol! I think I saw a total of 3 bubbles the whole time I used it which was probably less than 2 months before I switched over to the Fluval CO2 system. I also tried both Fluval 20g and 88g system and the 88g is better since I feel like it's easier to control while the 20g you're using a diffuser that was way too bulky for my liking.
