Several folks here have used the DAP. Do a search and see what you come up with. From what was said somewhere here earlier the "not for continuous underwater use" you see on some tubes is a liability thing. The companies know we use this stuff to build aquariums with and they dont want anything to do with that.Bosa;2646656; said:I was just at one of my local hardware stores here in hawaii, all they carried was DAP, I seen the black that i wanted, it's 100% silicone and on the top of the tube is has Dow Corning so i'm assuming it's the same product, but it also says that it's not for continuous underwater use. Is it safe to use to re-seal a 125 gal?
The best thing to do is contact a chemist or tech with the company and find out. The tech sheet seems to say it doesnt flex very much.Bosa;2646700; said:Would the Dow Corning 995 be a good silicone to use?
