Great looking filter, but couldn't you have done this a couple a weeks ago before I put my last filter together? Love the pond. Which size did you get, 8 or 10 foot?

Could you post a pic of the Jap Mat? I have never seen it and I am curious of exactly what it is. Thanks

man that came out great, and its colorful too :D gives us the total cost!!!

$ 33.00 scrubbies
$130.00 pump
$ 25.00 PVC
$ 20.00trays
$208.00

i just have one suggestion/concern...the way the pump is situated. it seems as though the "purified" water is dumping right on top of the pump, only to be recycled thru the filter again.

wouldnt it be more efficient to place the pump on the opposite end of the pond/pool??
I had that same concern but the other 550gph mech filter circulates the water really good...

yeah, it should...the pump is about a quarter inch off the bottom and the legs are about 2 feet apart squared.
The pump is relatively heavy so it holds down good...

Nothing holds up to a monster fish crashing through it...:naughty:
My KOI are still teenagers, 8"-12" they just zip around looking for the hikari Gold, if they run into the legd they're gonna get a headache is all...

it looks great, ever thought about seperating the trays a bit to get more of a waterfall effect?
When I put the 1.25" risers on it and can bolt on the trays, I'll have that option...

I still cant find my stainless hardware, that's enough to make me go crazy...:screwy::screwy::screwy:
ever have something you can't find till you go a buy more?!...then you find the ones you just replaced? I hate when that happens...:irked:
