It's nothing special right now. I plan on building a canopy like the one in your build thread once I get the tools too. View attachment 973000

Pick your shop light up and get 6,000k plant bulbs. That way you only have one light for everything instead of multiple lights for pothos and your tank.

Suspending the light was definitely a thought I also had. My only worry was not getting enough light in the aquarium?

Yeah as long as it's not too high up. I got mine about 9" on top of the uprights

+1 but it looks like he has low/med light plants on that side. For their sake i think he may need a seperate light for the pothos

Id use another fixture like a utility clamp light like i use just for the pothos and find the highest wattage cfl bulb at 6500k, clamp it on the rim and aim it at the plant that way your current fixture is fine where it is. Easily found at walmart or your lhs

I think I like this idea much more . I guess most of all I'm just concerned about making the tank look too industrial or something? It is my dining room "centerpiece"!

F1 VET, I was so glad that I clicked on your link to this thread yesterday.. After reading the first page, I was instantly hooked onto it..
This afternoon, I took some pothos(I assumed they are pothos, please help to verify) and put it into my tank side filter..
The whole thing is from a single stalk and I've trimmed the roots about 2~3 inches.. I'm really fond of the addition of plants in my tank..
If this one thrives, I'll add more into the main tank.. hopefully the cichlid doesn't destroy the vines(roots) as they grow longer..
Did I mention that I love the look of long vines in the tank? :grinyes:

Anyway, enjoy the pics and I still have 80+ more pages to read through.. :nilly:

F1 VET, thanks again for the inspiration.. :D
