Cheap plants, less nitrate! POTHOS

Update on my pothos:

N03 takes apprx 10 days to hit 20-30ppm, now i am doing bi weekly 50% wc. Life is good

They look great f1! Im doing something similar w/ lotus plants. Got em soakn now. Probably gonna get em in the tank in the next couple days.

Pretty much everything besides the tank and stand are DIY.. pretty fun to set up.. used all media/substrate/plants from my old setup. Had glass cut for the top and made an acrylic stand for the light.. and added POTHOS! 10 gallon sump and prolly a hair under 200 gph after head loss. I'll probably find something else to support the pothos because at the moment they are just sitting in the splits in glass. Cut the roots today and i haven't seen them wilt or any other signs of die off from the switch or anything.. hope they start taking off!

Looks beautiful bud! Awesome project, there's just something about diy that makes a man or woman feel good!

Hopefully you snipped an inch or so off the roots.
