Is it ok to cement up yet or do I have to modify it?

Your water level will drop to the top of the elbow that's inside your tank. If you're ok with that it looks like everything else will be ok.

But if I do cement it now it will work?

AND....

Can I use pvc cement or should I use silicone?

OK thank you so much!

That was really easy to do. And I had a crappy handsaw to use too. My recomendation is to do it. With out pump this thing cost me like 7 dollars. CHEAP!

And try it, its not hard.

Just to clean up the looks, you can shorten the pipes in the top loop so that the loop rests on the edge of the tank.

Also, you can turn the tee against the tank so that the future plumbing will not take up a lot of space.

Most importantly, get rid of the cap. It is going to cause both you and me more problems than either of us wants. Add a ball valve to the tee so that you can tune the system properly.

By the way, measure from the top edge of the tank to the substrate (gravel). The subtract the outside diameter of the pipe. This will give you the length of pipes coming that go to the top loop.

And you don't need the elbow on the stand pipe.

Ok. I do have a ball valve sitting in my bucket. I just need to get my stand finished so I can put my tank on there and I also just have to make my sump and Ill have the whole thing running.
