I think this is the simplest way...here I included 2 options ,you can either make a hole on the bottom of the tank or at the side of your tank, you can use a power drill to make a hole on your tank(use the tip that is used in making a hole in a glass) never rush your glass when drilling it.. just make a steady hand and let the drill use its weight to prick the glass... you can choose on a variety of diameter you like, its best to have the biggest possible PVC pipe for it to accompany the most strongest water pump....comments...comments....comments...thanx:) sorry for the presentation:grinno: I unninstalled my sketchup:grinno:
not all glass tanks can be drilled either.

1. Yes, it must be the highest point. (if not then you will siphon. the water will flow out of this pipe if it is is lower)

2. 90gph is rather slow, 1/2 will likely work but go 3/4 or better so you can increase the flow if needed.

3. The pipes outside the tank MUST be glued if you don't want water on the floor, any (clear) PVC cement safe for potable (drinking) water.

4. Most people keep them long, you need to be sure they are long enough to NOT get air trapped in the top loop. So I say the longer the better (hit the bottom)

Hope this helps
Does the glue have to be clear? i saw some grey stuff that said it was potable... also, do you use the purple prime stuff?

A glass that can be cut is a glass that can be drilled, you just have to use the appropriate tool.

I have never drilled glass,
but to me it seem drilling multible holes will incease the chance of cracking with every hole.

I would get the size hole saw you need, not just a regular bit.

Can you use any regular bit to drill in the glass. Like 3/16" holes very close together then punch it out? then like sand it down?

Update number one, picture 5. Something like that...?
No the bit your going to use must be of the same size of the hole your gonna make...the bit is in cylindrical form which is hollow

always remmeber that the risk of cracking the glass is always there so you should have a steady hand and just use the drill's weight to prick the hole be patient, after drilling it use a sand paper to smoothen the sides of that hole
