Something like this
picture.php

you could secure it from the inside with screws, then putty and LR the screws over. Everything inside and out can be sealed with LR.

Wut page is it on? i usually am on this site on my phone and its hard to search page after page. is it the overflow box that goes inside or outside the tank? i am going to build the one's that go on the inside and suck from the bottom and the top so cutting multiple slots in the box made of wood would be almost impossible to seal off the inside you know what im sayin? that's why i was thinking something plastic that's already waterpoof then painting lr over it only so the color matches and to pretty much glue it in

haha you posted the picture while i was typing that's actually not a bad idea the only thing is that i want to spiderweb my return piping along the bottom back of the tank so you would see the return pipe coming down the back of the tank. hum im Gunna have to think about this. either see boxes in my tank or return pipes....

You could have your water enter the tank through a bulkhead fitting at the bottom of the tank. You will just want to have it run in a way where you dont create a siphon if the pumps stop. Maybe a check vavle. Also, you could add a false wall to the outside back of the tank to conceal the plumbing/overflows.

ok so i have been a little behind on getting the pictures up i did the fiberglass front about 5 days ago. the rest of the tank will be sealed with zavlar, the fiberglass is so i can seal the window in with silicone...

the tank and the stand finally together.. they fit great and everything sits square and flush

i used drywall mesh tape instead of the FG cloth for strength. because i figured it would be easier to use and still add plenty of support to the wood and FG

i used elmers FG resin got it at lowes for 18bucks and still have about 1/3 of the can left over after about 5 coats.

i didnt have pix of some things that i have also done such as... i used the same drywall mesh and started painting my joints with the zavlar, i got my DIY bulkheads built the overflow being 2in and the return piping being 1 1/4 inch 2 of each.. and i also figured out my overflows but they wont be put in until after i have 6+ layers on my walls

not much of an update today but its gets me caught up to where im actually at.. i got my DIY bulkheads figured out and drilled the holes for them the blkhd for my overflow is a 2inch on each side of the tank and my return line is a 1 1/4 (sorry ross so far this is the only thing i havent used your ideas on this far...) after all my coatings are done i will install a overflow box on each side to cover up my holes and return piping

also as you can see in the pitcure i have my 3 layers of LR on all my joints painted over the drywall mesh tape so now im ready to start painting the spread of the whole tank. things should start moving pretty quickly from here on :naughty:
