FISHING SEASON 2K10!!!!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
thank you, im beginning to really like fishing the upper susquehanna river. very hard to fish and navigate sometimes. But its quickly becoming a great cat fishery. lots of 10+lb channels in the past few years and now lots of 20+ flatties. The warm water discharge should be a nice spot come the colder months. Hope to have a few more 10lbers before the years over.

fish count is at 628 right now.

a dangerous place to navigate at that too....there are so many rocks that are only a couple feet below the water that you cant see and just go right up on

Ive recently moved to the Gulf Coast and despite the oil and my lack of a boat, Ive done well so far.

Ive managed several keeper reds, mangrove snapper, spanish mackeral, king mackeral, bonita, jacks, trout and even a keeper cobia!!!

theres been some nice fish while I was gone I was up in the aderondacks didnt get to fish much inutes I caught a tine smb on a rebel craw then I got another on the same lure but he got off the hook I was happy cause I was the only one who caught anything off that dock while I was there

Back out on the same lake. Spring lake.

Tossin the buzz bait around a bit and getting some small hits. It was hot, probably close to 90 so I think the big boys were probably running deep, or hiding in thick cover. Since we were casting towards shore, most of the hits were small guys. But there is a lot of good cover on this lake, pads, hang over trees, cat tails. I knew it was only a matter of time before I raised a biggen hiding in the shallow shade... I cast towards shore and got hung up on a branch, just above the water. I flicked it off the branch and when it hit the surface of the water, WHOOOOSH! A big wake turned about 15 feet to the right. I tried to slow my retrieve, but it was so weedy I had to keep my speed up or it would just caught in the weeds. I tossed my buzz bait back in that hole a dozen times but nothing ever happened.

Then, about 50 yards down bank from that splash, I did the same thing. Got hung up in an over hanging branch. This time the lure fell to the water but the line was still draped over the branch. I was slowly raising it up to gently flip it over the branch and SMACK! A nice hit. Luckily she ran out towards the boat and untangled the line from the branch or I never would have caught her.

A beauty of a fish. 19 3/4 inch.

Spots fished-3

Time fished-16 hrs

Fish landed-I-10/Cliff-1

8-27 was a two hour trip to the D&R canal(Upper ferry) with Cliff. I only banged a small bass and got bit off by a CP. CLiff landed a decent smallie on the buzzy!!!

8-29 was a 12 hour trip to the "Amazon" with my nephew. I banged four in the first half hour back to back on the spinny. Then I had to realy work for the rest of them. My nephew lost focuse in the first couple of hours that went by and gave up. I only landed 8 but I let 5 get off, sometime it happens like that!!

8-30 was just a quick hour trip at the D&R canal with my boy Josa. The fish werent active at all. Josa had a little bass on a husky jerk bait but it got off. I throught I had a smallie on but I instead it was a very aggrrssive little rock bass that hit the spinny like he was a 10lb LMB!!!

The weather is back up again and just like clock work the fishing goes down!!
