FISHING SEASON 2K10!!!!!!

If you do, hit me up. I live less then 2 miles from the pier and that is counting the bridge to get to the island.

The bobos should be pretty thick by then too. Load up on pomp jigs for some light tackle action as they make great bobo lures. A five pound bobo on a trout/redfish rod sure as hell will test your abilities!

Crap i have dont have any medium weight rods.:irked: All i have is my bait and freshwater rod and my king rod.

I have a rod you can borrow. How much 8lb line can your bait rod handle? It could probably still land one if youre lucky.

Right know its has 6lb fireline on it so it can probably hold about 240 yards of 8lb fire line. Thing is i used this catch hardtail and it was bending real good.

Fish landed-0

Went looking for some CP at "Assunpink". Had one bite all day long but I really enjoyed being on the water!!

Probaly only a few more attempts this season!!!

haven't really got time to fish again, but hooked this one within 5minutes,just above regular size in this pool at 29inch.

Best worst day in a long time...

Went out 15miles in the Gulf yesterday to try and catch some red snapper before the season ends next weekend.

We caught live pinfish in the bay and on the way out saw tons of sardines which we loaded up the livewell with as well.

Once over the spot, the action wasnt fast but when we did get hits they were BIG. Using 6/0 reels with 50lb braid and 40lb fluro leaders absolutely could not slow the fish down! Hell, one of the crew even brought up an 8ft nurse shark on the tackle we were using but what ever we were getting would take us right down into the wreck. First assumptions were amberjack. However after a 15lb snapper and a 12lb snapper came up we knew it was just BIG snapper!

It was my wifes first time offshore fishing and of course she was getting most of the bites. At 105lbs at times I was afraid she was going over board when she got bit!

At the end of the day it was my first trip ever offshore without putting fish in the box. :( However, with all the big runs and plenty of cold beer it was a great day out on the Gulf of Mexico...fingers crossed for fair weather and calm seas for the last weekend of red snapper next weekend!
