FISHING SEASON 2K10!!!!!!

Wats up fellas!!!

I'm still here and have a few crappy updates to do. The bass bus broke down so fishing is back to the shore for me for a while. I don't know about everyone else but it's just too darn hot to go fishing before 7pm unless you get out there in the morning. I hate the summer time when it comes to fishing, the big fish are very hard to find. Anyway y'all stay up and keep them lines wet!!!

Since I see smallies coming out of the river I'll be making some trips down to the Delaware to see if I can get some!!

now don't hate on the white perch, it's not his fault lol. Theyre good eating but hard to come by a ton of them with any size. They run the susquehanna river here every year in March, every once in awhile youll get a bucketful of eaters but after their run only babies <6" are left hanging around and do nothing but steal bait. They're easy enough to catch on just a hook with worm layed still on the bottom but if they arent biting, put the worm on a shad dart and that seems to do the trick.

my buddy matt caught this monster on March 20th on just a hunk of worm. it was 13.5" and weighed 1lb 7oz. and he got a citation for it. We decided to release this one so he could make more monster perch.

Lol ya we dont see those sizes...was the citation giving recognition to the catch of the fish or something?? around here when you hear citations, it always involves getting introuble with the law

Went fishing again on the beach in Santa Monica for Fathers Day with my kids and caught a couple of barred surf perch on the light surf fishing setup and then we soaked some frozen squid for 2 shovel nose guitar fish. First 1 was on the smaller side at about 25" the second was a nicer version at about 48".

we have those here as well. A fishing citation here is a certificate provided by the Department of Natural Resources recognizing your catch. fish have to be a certain length and fished can be checked at a citation center most bait shops or by submitting photos of your fish with ruler in picture to the dnr. its just a piece of paper that says so and so catch such and such but it's still nice to have your catch recognized.

6-17

Was a sad day when the "bass bus" broke down on the way to the amazon :irked:. I was able to make it home tho, it was doing like 15mph:irked:. SO Dennis and I went to Mill pond on Clarkvilles Rd and then over to Rodedale to finish the day out. I banged four at Clarksville and one at rosedale and Dennis landed two decent ones at rosedale.

6-19

With the bass bus being down we decided to try out an old spot of mine called Turkey Swamp Park.I banged two from the shore right off the back while we waited for the boat rental to open. We decided to rent a paddle boat for 7 hours and I landed 7 and D got one. Then we went out to exit 21 and fished two shore spots from the past. I landed 4 and D got three. The biggest was a nice chunky 3.1 that smashed the buzzy 50ft out!! My stupid behind left my phone the car so I couldnt get a pic :irked:. The second spot was dead, straight waste of time.

I think that the bass have moved out to deeper water cause the bank has been very slow. Probaly casue the water so hot. Anyway just venting!!

Thats whats up right there!!

Ladies and gents, I have arrived in Florida.
/6/23/'10/-/6/24/'10
Punta Gorda Canals (saltwater)
On the first night, I caught probably around 10 Dogtooth Snapper Lutjanus jocu, 2 Western Atlantic Seabream, a Pinfish, and I spied an Atlantic Stingray with a disc size of about 18".
Today, I started off with a few nice Snapper, then I got an amazing surprise... a foot long Snook! I did not expect to see this guy, let alone catch him. I had gone out to the dock in the back yard when I first woke up, saw the Snook, and ran inside to get my rod/tackle/bait. I threw out a frozen Shrimp, skipped it along the surface, and there he was. The fight reminded me a lot of a Largemouth Bass. Unfortunetaly, the family boating (and Tarpon fishing) trip has been postponed because a certain Bottomfeeder got a sudden nasty headache, a bit of vomiting, and a LOT of sleeping. My first visit from the heat stroke fairy.

I will keep updating. Maybe I'll even throw some pictures up with my grandpa's camera.

Here are some nice california largemouth bass I caught last weekend from my kayak. The larger fish had a rainbow trout sticking out of his throat, and he still went after my worm. I used to have a 1000g koi pond in my backyard that I turned into a bass pond after birds ate all my expensive fish. Checking out this website makes me miss that a lot. I've been thinking about putting a bass/bluegill tank together. I've been checking craigslist for 125+ gallon tanks. i'll let you guys know how it goes:-).

Went back out to the dock :D Caught several Snapper, a Pinfish, both species of Catfish, and something else that I will post pics of later :D
And my sister caught a Leatherjack. Weird fish. Like a cross between a Jack Crevalle and a Mackerel.
