FISHING SEASON 2K10!!!!!!

Between being way too hot, work, and not having the my boat I havent really been beat for fishing. A few times I went a out and finally on July forth the "Bass Bus" was back in action.

On the 26th Dennis and I went to the PA D&R canal, the NJ D&R canal and ended the day at the river. Dennis landed a nice size bluegill while using a small crank bait and had two smallies on in the river. I landed my first smallie of the year in the NJ D&R canal but nothing in the river for me.

The 28th was just a quick 30 minute trip to the college of NJ right at dark. It wasnt popping at all but I did land my first ever chatter-bait fish.

The cess pool was the spot on the 1st. I banged 3 and Dennis got 2.

For the 4th the "bass bus" was ready for its first trip since breaking down. I know it was going to be pretty hot so we were on "Mercer Lake"
at 5:15am. I didnt catch alot but most were decent size. Dennis landed 2 and lost a nice three pounder at the boat. It felt so good to be back on the water!!! FWI- the chatter bait is finally catching fish for me!!!

Lately Ive lost some drive for fishing due to alot of reasons but its still a feeling that is unmatched!!

thank god the boat got fixed...I was tired of lookin at this thread and not seeing any updates! haha
 
Went to the lake last night sounded like it was a war zone or something because all the freakin fire crackers. But me ad my buddy caught 9 in 2 hours. A little slow.
 
Tstove15- Yeah im very happy the truck got fixed!! Also the lack of fishing is coming from tring to get focused and that requires less fishing.

Likestofish-9 fish in two hours would be a decent time here in NJ!!!
 
very very very very long day...I went out around 10 and it felt like it was already 500 degrees. I was fishin with chicken liver and was getting bites all day but nothing wanted to take it. I was yellin out on the peir out of frustration lol. I got my first fish about 5 minutes in and my second fish about 5 minutes before i left. I had one fish break the line on my ugly stick but i caught both of the cats on the new 20lb braid on my other rod.

Good stuff boss!!

I like the way the little cats look with all the spots on them. I see from ur pics they loss them once they get bigger, I always throught they were a diffferent type.
 
Caught 13-15 fish july 4th buth the biggest was about 11 inches, all bass.

i got 4 smallies in about a hour..but all were around 8 inches...still fun though

Work was slow today and it really had me down(I NEED MONEY) so to cheer me up a bit I took the boat out!!

Todays lake of choice is wat I call the "Amazon". My dad broke the ice very quick with a decent size bluegill that throught his "count down" was a good snack. I followed right up with a small bass landed on the money frog. Pops got the next two and im seatting there like DAM im getting beat by alittle inch and half lure. So I pull out the spinny and caught two back to back. As we were on the hunt I landed some on the worm, spinny, money minnow, and the buzzy!! I didnt think I was going to catch one bigger the a pound and a half but NO NO. At 6:25 number 9 for me was a very nice 3.10 that straight murdered the buzzy about 60ft away from the boat!!!! Pops caught a very pretty red breast sunnie so i put him in a bucket and at the moment he is swimming arouind in the 180!!! Anyway back to the update. Number 11 for me was a nice 2.7 that I quess didnt want its picture taken cause once I weighed it, it decided to jump out my hand and landed back in the water. My last two fish of the day were a small CP and a decent 14" bass!!! As we were headed in pops let a very nice 4 pounder break his 8 pound fluorocarbon(junk) right at the boat :eek:.

I needed this!!!!
