Fished three times in kentucky. The first time we were on the kentucky river i saw a nice bluegill and told a friend to cast past it and reel in slowly. first try and he brought it in. we went for gar and i had close to 30 bit but i just couldnt set the hook!!! later that day we went to a beatiful scenic stream but was told to scram by a man who lived close by 
. we couldnt find another spot like it. The next morning it was raining but we didnt care we went to a pond and when we got there a man was also fishing he pulled 3 bass up in 15 minutes. I got a nice bass on the fly rod but he got off. the rain stopped and nobody could get a bite for two hours until we had to leave. the pond was over fished so that explains it.
This morning i fished by the stream nearby. i saw some big smallmouth but only got creek chub and bluegill. Had a nice smallie bite twice but i fumbled and didnt set the hook in time.
. we couldnt find another spot like it. The next morning it was raining but we didnt care we went to a pond and when we got there a man was also fishing he pulled 3 bass up in 15 minutes. Today was my first day of vacation so I took the boat out to "Carnegie lake" for a 3-9. The bite was SUPER SLOW. I banged one on the spinny about 30 minutes in. From there I learned that the fish werent that active and the bank was CLOSED. So not only were the fish not bitting my matches flew off the boat and I was fiending to smoke. So I stay by the bridge asking everyone for a light but nobody had one. Then I seen a older dude coming down the path with a cigar in his hands, Im like hell yeah!! Before Dave gave me a light he whipped out his phone and showed me a very nice 6 pounder he got 10 days ago form the very bridge he was at. Then he goes on to tell me that someone yesterday was killing the bass on live bait right off a point that was about 100ft away from we all were. So I got to the point and did something I dont do unless the bite is super slow ike it was today and that is pull out the jig. The fish finder said it was some fish behind the boat and MAN was it right. On my first cast with the jig I felt that magic TICK TICK and after a very nice hookset I landed a decent two pounder. Staying in the same spot I whipped out the chatter bait with a creature bait trailor on it, and on my third cast with it another decent two pounder hit it while it was falling. At that point the sun was falling and I pulled out the buzzy and was able to land my forth and final fish. Whille in route back to the boat ramp Kevin(nephew)was able to land his first on the buzzy!!!
Super slow day but I might of caused it with spending so much time on the bank when I clearly could see that it was dead. If I had fished deeper water all day long I think I could of pulled off way better numbers. Ha you live and you learn!!!

For all the New Jersey people the D&R canal is POPPING right now!! Been here for two hours and I got 12. With one o them being a monster 2.10 CP!!

I would like to start out by saying that cause the water is SO HOT the fish are deeper and the CRANK BAIT is killing me lately. I see it working but dont pick up and I dont why either.
We started at 6:30am and my nephew broke the ice with a nice crappie, I wanted to EAT it but he threw it back
. After that he and that stupid crank bait caught four more. I plucked my first one off with the jig making it 5-1. The buzzy finally was able to see some action and I was able to tie it up at 7-7. Then he shot up to 9, he just kept throwing the crank bait all day. I pulled out the chater bait and tied it up 9-9. Then we tied at 10-10 and I throught that was going to be the final score but on the way in he was able to land two little bass before we made it to the bait ramp.
No monster today but we had fun!!!

My brother has been telling me that the NJ D&R canal is popping. I pulled off 7 little ones in thirty minutes on 8-1 but I just brushed it off as the right time of the day. Well today I arrived at 4:15pm and the fish were EVERYWHERE!!! I landed smallies,lmb, red breast sunnies, and CP's all on the buzzy!!!! The stand out of the day was a monster 2.10 CP that I fought from about 70ft away and against the current!!
Its also a small world cause as I was waited for my wife to arrive a dude pulled up and we begin talking. He went ahead and begun fishing, once I was able to catch up to him he said "I seen you somewhere before, dont you be on that website" I said I quess you mean MFK he replied "yes". He said I seen some of your pictures!! Thats the third time this year that has happen to me while fishing!!
