FISHING SEASON 2K10!!!!!!

maryland dnr recognizes big fish with a certificate.
they have to meet a certain size for their species to get the award.

anyone who catches the fish can take it to a citation center for the award. or one can send acurate pictures with measurements to the citation director for the award. I wanted to make sure she didnt die so i took pictures and released her asap.

basically, a lame piece of paper that says you got lucky and hooked a nice fish lol.
my buddy got one for the white perch he caught back in march and my dad should of sent one in for the 40b blue cat he caught in april. there a party at the end of the year u get invited to if u get the citation and prizes are given out.
 
yesterday went fishing in the afternoon in my boat. i used a clouser minow and paddled all around the lake trolling landed a nice 15 incher and had to more bites. i had just gotten a bite and got some weeds so i pulled in my line. i decided to throw the fly a little was from the boat. I was throwing the fly out of the boat when it jerked to a stop. I looked back and saw bubbles rising from the side of the inflatable boat i paddled back to the dock as fast as i could. I fished from the dock a little bit and caught a 11 incher
Today was really slow i caught two but had very few strikes. To top it off the buzzy snapped of the line when i was casting.

ive been after a 10lb+ channel cat from this river since the beginning of this year, caught an 8lb 2oz in march and an 8lb 1oz a few weeks ago. nothing else came close till last night. wed been on the water since 6:30 and i only ever had 1 bite which turned out to be a dink 4lber. 9:30 comes and my rod goes down hard. Came to 32" and 11lb 5oz. I'm sad it was dark and i couldn't get a better picture but he's a citation fish so i guess the paper with do.

That's awesome bro! What were you using for bait? That's pretty cool that you get recognition for your catch. Around here people are like "You caught a big catfish? - Who cares?"... :irked:

The buzzy probaly would of killed them too, good post tho!

Thats pretty cool to be recognized specially cause its somthing you love to do! On another note though for the people that thinks its nothing they just dont understand the feeling of reaching a goal and winning at a very challenging sport, plus the fight with a monster is just mind blowing!!

Some poeple are just in the way, fishing is the ish!!!
 
Fiend, a TX is just short for tourney or tournament, and dreams all my flatties are accidental catches while bass fishing but since they take live prey anything worked on the bottom or crank bouncing bottom should get em

I havent updated in a while but ive just been doing the same old fishing and catching. Ive been killing the big cats on cut eel lately but nothing that is update worthy in the last week lol.
