FISHING SEASON 2K10!!!!!!

Had a very good day!!! Succes at last!
I started off at 6:30 and got to my first stop at around 6:50 three casts and BANG had my first hit of the day. the fish missed. Cast again the fish nocked the spinnerbait sideways but didnt get hoked i cast beyond the point were the fish and decided to let it sink a bit. the fish hit on the drop. I set the hook hard he fought back just as hard jump number one. large fish!!! jump number two, sweet! I landed him he was 18 inches long but weighed a measly 2.11 pounds:eek: he was like a bean pole! i didnt get very good pictures but oh well. I released him. I was pretty sure no other fish would bit after that battle so after two more casts i moved on next stop. five cast and fish on. land it. it was only about 11 inches. I moved on. a few casts and big fish on again restled him in, 16 1/4 inches long and weighed 1.9 After that the bite slowed down an hour or so later i hooked and landed a forteen incher and an hour after that a nice 15 incher bringing the total score to 5. The 18 incher was the biggest bass i had caught at that lake not huge but fun.
I AM IN SOUTH GEORGIA, I SHOULD DO BETTER THAN THIS! lol

I've never had a clinch knot slip on braid. I've had snaps bust and hooks bend, but I never have had a clinch knot slip on braid....

But then again, I'm not the world series fishing champion like someone here must be.

:chillpill:
My problem is you're giving bad advice in a section about fishing where most are just recreational weekend anglers at best.. I myself take angling very seriously and to have someone of your fishing caliber (obviously low...) argue that a clinch knot is fine with braid and won't slip is just insulting...

I'm sure if you're catching dink fish it might not slip but get more on water experience and then tell me if you're still tying clinches on braid...especially larger diameter line like 50-80lb ;)

And talking all high and mighty is insulting

alot of knots slip on low pound test briad anything under 20. The worst one for slipping being the clinch . The polomar knot is a much better choice :D.

Clearly I am a low caliber fisherman, none of the fish I've caught are as big as yours, and my 20+ years of on water experience are nothing compared to yours.

Yes Almighty Kiwi. Your word is biblical. From now on, I will ask you for advice about everything. :screwy::clap

Actually i have never had braid slip on me if the knot was tied right from 4#-60# test line. Even when snapper fishing and a dolphin started running off with my snapper i had the 60# pound power pro fail on me before the knot did.
