I've stopped. Why do you think I have not updated this thread for a while.

He's been alone for a while now.

And I am being totally honest about this channa capabilities. I also have a 6/7 inch red that could not compete with this one in a million years. And I have owned a wolf fish and experimented that with various fish.

This is the nastiest fish I have owned, simple as that. It's not so much a boast - more of a sharing of information and documentation of a badboy fish :)

That albino striata really is a nice fish, certainly fits under the category of extreme aggression. I actually had a chance to get a albino striata once, it was in a LFS under the name albino pike cichild....for 300 dollars US at 4 inches.
Although I regret not getting it, the price was just not right.

You have your opinions about electric cats, but if you are looking for something that could best or stand its ground against the striata, a 7 inch M.electricus might just do more than you wish for with one shot of its EOD. :)

Well 7" jardini hasnt even started to show its aggresive side thats why ! When it reaches 11-12" then you will notice a huge different temperament...we got ours when it was 8" and its now 1ft long and its unbelievable the change from when we got him.Very aggressive and he is only just over half there expected growth size. Jardini's are the most aggressive arowana. I think your going the wrong way about finding a suitable tank mate...have you researched your snakehead at all ???? We arent even putting a tankmate in with our jardini because ov the aggression we tried an 18" perruno and it didnt work ....as already said some fish are best on their own for this reason!

wtf are you talking about have I researched my snakehead? What is that supposed to mean. I've been researching it myself hahaha, by seeing how it reacts to various fish.

And yes I have experience with snakeheads, and know full well what they are capable of. Even so, for a juvenile fish this one is insane.

my jardini is 8 or 9 inches and it's suddenly turned, it's very aggressive. I'm selling it. Last week it dished out a severe beating to my red snakehead and peacock bass.

fair enough, I took it as making me out to be ignorant.

My jardini is beautiful. Really beautiful. Nicer than all the jars I've seen in the flesh, beautiful tail and fins, with blue/green and bright pink spots. Nice eyes too.

Thing is, I don't want to keep another fish alone, I want my biggest tank to be a pred. community. That's why. I'd rather have in the tank my pbass, bichirs, tiger fish, vamp[ire tetra than just 1 jardini.

And yes I've pretty much given up trying tankmates with my albino striata. The fish is just nuts, takes no prisoners.

The jardini is 8/9 inches and the red SH he beat up is about 7, so the jardini is a fair bit bigger obviously. Much heavier.
