Keeping Gar in a Pond?

So I have been searching online, and I have yet to find a fish hatchery in or near PA that has gar of any kind. All I can find are a few state hatcheries in the South that are attempting to propagate alligator gar, but they don't sell to the public. Is my only viable option left to buy the gar from an LFS?

Ok, I'll check them out lol. I also found that N-E Cichlid can get them for $20 each, but I'm not sure if they are actual alligator gar. I'm going to try to get the best stock as possible for as least as possible.

Would alligator gar and longnose gar get along in my pond? If so, how many of each should I stock if they are in the 3 to 6 inch range?
