Why must you be in the UK? I'd LOVE to get my hands on T. helleri again
I had a group of them (as well as T. mixteco Golds) but that was unfortunately before I learned about their lower temp requirements and at the time I was keeping pretty much all of my tanks right around 80 degrees. They were fine for a while, a couple of the mixteco golds grew to around 3" or so and then all of a sudden, they all just started dying off.
I've been wanting some socolofi for years and I've never been able to get any.Callolepis are also rare here.Being the largest growing of the genus they would be a nice find.Congrats on the spawn! Beautiful pair as well.
Helleri are very rare in the U.S. It seems easier to get any other thorichthys species except affinis, socolofi, and callolepis which are pretty rare anywhere.

A friend of mine I met through a British forum is also a friend of Rusty Wessel, he visits his home fairly regularly. He is also a big thorichthys fan,and told me of a gold callolepis variant that Rusty has.He said it was at least 8 inches long and the most beautiful cichlid he has ever seen.
I have never seen this fish myself but man do I want some.
