That is horrible, very sorry you and the fish had that experience. The sad truth is most people and even pet stores are not equipped to handle large fish. There is a 20" clown knife, and a 15" black ghost knife at my lfs right now that were traded in. The clown knife has been there for 1 month and can barely turn around in the 75 gallon lidless tank it is in. The black ghost is missing an eye, so I expect it to remain there indefinitely. I used to think that there would be a demand for fish like that, but that is apparently not the case. There just aren't that many people who have or want huge tanks and the longer the fish stay in sub par conditions the worse they look and become even less marketable. Glad you were able to save the remaining fish.

Most of the fry have gone now,I have one pair left still guarding fry. Probably about 50ish left.

Hard to say yet.Its spent most of its time hiding behind rocks.It did have a few spirulina flakes last night though.
