BTW - weight doesn't mean that much. Look at the old pride and UFC fights. Guys half sometimes three times lighter were winning against giants. Silva didn't have any good fighters in middle weight during his reign. They threw Franklin in for a second fight because they had no one else and he was all washed up. Finally Silva met a young good fighter in his prime and got crushed twice- end of story. The only fights I'm going to remember 20 years from now is how he got his *** put to sleep for clowning and how he got his leg snapped like a pretzel by the same guy. lol!

the ufc has rules they have to follow, athletic commissions, sanctioning boards,........... this isn't japan where they have very questionable and shady things going on. the kind of stuff people term human cock fighting. freakshows like heavy weights fighting light weights, lack of drug testing,...........

the fact that one fighter cannot fight someone one to two weight divisions above him is not his fault, nor is it his fault if the rest of the division is not on his level. all the guys in his division have success until they face him. that was the story for a long time.

like you said, "FINALLY" he met a young good fighter in his prime and lost. it's been so long that he's been dominant. "FINALLY" he is slowing down, up in age and got beat. you guys can hang on to that one to the end. us real fans will remember him for his greatness

btw, I knew the jones/Anderson fight would never happen.

they would never make that fight especially since jones still have a line of contenders waiting in the wing. not to mention both have expressed their respect and admiration for one another and do not desire to face eachother

I just said I love watching barao fight. now you're putting words in my mouth and what does that even have to do with weight classes. which btw, when I mentioned weight, I meant weight classes.

but you already knew that, you're just out of things to say so you continue grasping at straws. you brought up pride and big guys fighting little guys so I said there are weight classes for a reason. not only does it protect the fighters but it's rules that combat sports have to follow. if cain velasquez can make weight and challenge mighty mouse then he can legally do that. but they will not make cain as a heavyweight fight mighty mouse.

Obviously there are weight classes but there are guys that walk around at 190lbs that make weight for 155 and fight at around 170+ during the fight. And a lot of times the smaller guy wins. Silva could have easily dropped weight to fight George. Almost all fights I watch one guy has 20+ lbs over the other guy. Like I said last night Barao was much much bigger than Dillenshaw and Dillenshaw won. This is why I said weight doesn't mean much, there's always going to be one guy bigger than another and a lot of times it's a big margin. DO YOU GET IT?
BTW- maybe Barao should try the washer and dryer next time lol

OK smart comments and passive aggressiveness is allowed but let's keep the insults to ourselves. Here is a good one for you. You obviously for some reason think GSP could have beaten Silva. So that means you think GSP @170 is stronger and has better takedowns than hendo and Sonnen @185. Is this correct? Remember he fought Hendo pretty close to him prime at his best weight. You can't honestly think a 170lb GSP would ragdoll a 185lb sonnen?

Anderson silva when not fighting, walks around like 220. we know that for a fact, he's said it on video before.

so ultimate jay is bashing silva for not dropping 50 pounds to challenge gsp? for a guy that knows so much about fighting he should know that is pretty ridiculous. plus if he did drop 50 lbs to fight gsp, and win, he'd just start saying big deal, Anderson beat up a smaller guy. a good way to have a super fight (if the smaller guy doesn't move up in weight) is to do a catchweight. which Anderson has said he'd do all the while gsp has stayed quiet about it. but all this talk is a waste as this is a fight that will never happen

and I dont' even know why he's talking about barao now. barao didn't look like he was twice the size of dillishaw. all I said was I am always excited to watch barao fight. now he's bashing barao and trying to rub barao's loss in my face. lmao. ultimate jay must be a human horse because he loves them straws. but I know the kind of fan ultimate jay is. every fighter is only as good as his last fight with fans like him.

it doesn't matter that barao has been undefeated for 10 years and was on a massive win streak. one bad night and he jumps all over the loser regardless of his past accomplishments. talk about being disrespectful,.......
