apples and oranges. some women fights are exciting as hell and more than some men

i would only imagine better women fighters will rise in the next few years. there's already some out there. more are to come. embrace it

eddie, you can thank your constable bottles for bringing the atrocious wnba into this angelic and majestic thread

So you're saying its all about the fundamentals...?

Has anyone ever seen women on a boxing PPV that wasn't headlined by chicks? Do women even headline boxing PPVs?
If men are fighting in the main event of a PPV, there aren't going to be any girls on the card.

Either way, Fedor has spoken and that's good enough for me.

boxing has never had a monster like ronda rousey

she is the mike Tyson of mma. joe rogan and dana white said that, so it must be true

How about Laila Ali? Piggy backing on her daddies name and undefeated (24-0; 21 KOs). She could have been pushed like Rousey, but this is a mans world.

my sister, the absolute furthest thing from an mma fan asked me the other day if ronda rousey won. i said she beat an undefeated opponent in 14 seconds.

she goes, "wooohoooo!!"

it's things like that over the last year or so that has changed my mind about wmma. i used to feel exactly like what fedor feels.

i like rousey for the same reasons i like conor McGregor. they got mad skill, they kick ass and they piss a lot of people off. those polarizing qualities are what make people want to watch. they want to witness greatness or they want to see them get knocked the eff out. either way, they tune in.

heck, ronda got eddie hating on her and then crushing on her. and he's the biggest mma thread troll

and bottles, you gotta know for being an mma fan, and you can't even lie on it, there is a huuuuuge buzz right now about ronda

it makes it more than ok dude

it's great for the sport we love man

when the casuals tune in to see ronda or conor, they will get exposed to the positive role models and sportsmen of the mma world too

so what matters to me in the big picture is that they are drawing more eyes by hate, love or curiosity,.....then it will allow them to see the positive athletes as well in the process

we know that controversy is a great promotional tool in any sport. in anything really
