Sorry...I tend to get annoyed pretty easily by unsolicited product peddling. You should see the amount of store's I refuse to deal with due to them putting me on call lists.

One more question...have you noticed if the liquid rubber affects the pH of the water at all, looking at sealing a tank for some wild caught pike cichlids and I'd like to keep the tank slightly acidic to neutral. I know on the msds sheet it shows the product as alkali but it doesn't state if that's in liquid or cured state or if it leaches/reacts when immersed in water.

My PH runs around 7.2 right now. It was running in the 7.6 range for several months but I think that was due to the ecocomplete I used for the plants.

Boredinthepeg, I understand your feelings. IMO, that ranks right up there with people offering suggestions on something they have never attempted.

lmao...that pretty much sums up why I don't offer a whole lot of answers...have lots of theories, just finally have the space to actually test some now. Building a tank in the basement to wall off a room opening of 102" and it will never make it down the stairs assembled so I have to seal it with something not too toxic. Really want to use the liquid rubber but just trying to predict the downfalls before it's actually applied. Currently have my pike's growing out in a 55 (still babies and schooling together) and I keep their pH at about 6.5 but we have pretty close to neutral water here in Winnipeg so I just hang a bag of oak leaves in the filter discharge to cut the pH...I'd hate to have to try and maintain 400 plus gallons at 6.5 with chemicals or CO2. Forgot to mention...thanks for all the responses, info's greatly appreciated.

The plants are doing pretty good. The fish, even though they are on the little side like to dig at the roots. But, they seem to only like digging at 1 particular type of plant. Must have tasty roots! Daily I am finding these plants floating at the overflows. I did have a pretty fierce beard algae issue so I cut down on the plant fertilizer which slowed the plant growth.
