New project, will take a long time

WOW! Just read thru man... Amazing job! There were a few times that I thought you were gonna cash in, ie the cave in and some of the plumbing issues, but a big ol' BZ to you for carrying on!

With reference to the sturgeon that you posted in the other thread, unfortunately that fish died a month or so after the save when it got tangled in the filter media. I will be looking for another one soon, the sterlets are still alive and well.

Sorry to hear that man... Some fish just don't seem to learn do they... Hope you pick another up soon.
 
Extended the patio today:) and have discovered that the pump is leaking:irked:

I got the DART from Sequence/reeflow, and mine has a rubber washer on the shaft right there. They call it a "wiper" to keep crud from building up and fouling that seal at the back of the pump housing. It floats back and forth between the motor and the pump casing...does yours have that too?

I have run that pump 24/7 since I got it
 
No I don't think it does, according to a koi site they have 2 internal washers that are spring loaded to form the seal. I'm going to ring EA tomorrow and see what they say, rather than start taking it apart as it's still under guarantee.
