Hes actually starting to develop the red coloration of an albino red. He still looks great though! :)

I was tempted and actually bought a white lutino w/ out any markings at petsmart. It looks just like yours Landonc, So I placed it in my 75gallon w/ a 12" male jaguar (supposedly harmless, only eats pellets). Later that night woke up to some splashings 2x, and the 3rd time found lutino oscar inside the jag mouth, still breathing, I smack the jag several times and it spit out the oscar. Unfortunately it looks like the tail broke off and breathing hard, and it died the next day.

Looks pretty sweet. I know that the albino strain is a result of a recessive gene, meaning both parents had to have the allele. Do any other recessive genes come with it? Possibly a negative one? Are they not as hardy? etc? I just purchased a lil albino, I don't know much about them; are their personalities any different? It would be interesting to see if the snow oscar keeps its color... or lack of color.

Fantastic, keep us posted with how it grows out. I'm very curious to see it in a few months if the coloration changes much.
