very nice . good extention's on the pelvic fin's the tip's of the fin's all round look as if they will darken up nice and the yellowish orange will shine bright with good food and water quality.. krull shrimp worm's (earth , night crawler . meal , wax) also excellent for this fish and any large carnivious fish ... also noticed no spit's in the fin's of fish very good sign's of water quality no bacteria to cause fin rot or tankmate's are not beating him/her up .. :D

Thanks! I perform daily %10 water changes for all of my fish. He looks worse in that pic than how he normally appears as he is fighting a current from the filter and swiming upwards. I have a question if you all dont mind; every since i had this guy his breathing has been very strange, he breaths slow very deep breaths and his gills flare and open up very wide when he does this, its constant. He feeds and behaves normal other than this.

Here are some more pictures, they all are low quality :p

You can see his 'deep breathing' in some pics.

Notice the gills.

do you cheak your ammonia level?? , it's slow not fast breathing ??? do you have good circulation in the tank to oxygenate it ??? maybe there is a lack of oxygen ...

Thats not the problem. He has been in three different tanks since ive had him and he does it in every tank and no other fish does this. There is more than enough oxygen in all aquariums and the water conditions are perfect. And yes its slow deep breaths like hes having trouble breathing but appears fine and not bothered.
