I just picked up some nice bromeliads. Wow they add color to the garden.

I've finally done it. The pool is crystal clear. And we didn't even need to go and see a marriage counselor. I put another uv light in. One with a 35 watt bulb that I wasn't using from the other pond. I also added some more floating plants add a little shade and a little more filtration. I bordered the plants with some larger rocks.

Based on the companies recommendations I'm under equipped about 2,000 dollars worth of uv lights. I also have too much sun and not enough shade. I would say only about 5% is covered with shade.

I let my kids put a couple more african cichlids in the pool. They were pretty excited. I also found an Oscar that I had put in there about 1 month ago. Man is he big. HIs colors are so brilliant. I'm not feeding them anything. I'll let them just feed on the bug and worms that fall into the pond.

very spectacular fulfillment of your backyard paradise

love the pics of your kids enjoying themselves

will be very interesting to see what size your fish get if they grow to their environment like so many people say

Yes it looks like that will be it for now. I need to keep things super clean while the bog is maturing. I turned the light on at night and I saw about 20 fish roaming around in the middle. I didn't realize that I had so many in there.
